AZUSA, Calif. -
Oliver Pick ran a 9:07.40 in the steeplechase at the Bryan Clay Invitational this week, hosted by Azusa Pacific, moving him into the top 20 in NCAA Division III and in contention for an NCAA Division III Championship.
Pick's time was just off his personal best of 9:06.95, which he set last year at the Occidental Invitational. He currently ranks 16th in Division III with a month left before qualifying bids are announced.
Agustin Gomez De la Vega also had a PR in the 5000 for the Stags, clocking a 14:55.09, just over three seconds faster than he ran it at the Occidental Distance Carnival earlier this year.
The Bryan Clay Invitational served as the final tuneup before the SCIAC Championships are held next week, when the Stags will try to defend their league title.
