Entering his sophomore season as a member of the CMS swimming and diving team, where he competes in the IM, distance freestyle and breaststroke.

SCIAC All-Academic Team ... Was a finalist at the SCIAC Championships in the 400 IM (fifth) and came in sixth in the 1650, with personal best times of 4:03.26 and 16:18.32 ... Added a personal best time in the 200 breast as well (2:07.42) ... Came in second at the CMS Invitational in the 200 breast, as well as in a dual with Occidental ... Was fourth in the 1650 in a dual with Pomona-Pitzer.

Attended Santa Fe High School, where he was a member of the swimming and diving team ... Helped Santa Fe to two fifth place finishes at High School State championships ... Also competed for Charger Aquatics ... All-Academic Team selection ... Earned honor roll distinction ... National Honor Society ... Model United Nations ... Stock Market Club.

Attends Claremont McKenna, where he majors in economics ... Pamela Emsden, mother, attended Pomona College and ran cross-country and played lacrosse for Pomona-Pitzer.
